Sports Surplus

This won't become a regular thing (I'd like to have this blog mainly be good sports writing), but I wanted to assure all of the readers out there that the NFC preview is on the way. Updates might come a little slower these days (thanks law school), but the quality of the writing will not be compromised.


For the reader's sake, I think there might be some more guest writers appearing on this site soon. Only the best though, don't worry.

And I can't believe BG used the words "respectable" and "Jason Whitlock" in the same sentence, let alone the same blog. It sort of makes you wonder why we entered this business . HE WORE HIS OWN JERSEY!!!

I was browsing Best Buy yesterday looking for a cheap laptop to take to Chicago. I asked the salesman to point me towards the cheapest laptop and he took me over to a shitty Toshiba. Next to me at that machine was someone else- a familiar voice- looking for a laptop. He said he needed one with Microsoft Word because he does a lot of typing. He was wearing an oversized #68 football jersey that read "WHITLOCK". It was the man himself, Jason Whitlock.

When I saw Jason Whitlock hosting PTI, The Sports Reporters, and Jim Rome is Burning, all in consecutive weeks, I figured he had blown off Kansas City for Bristol. But, apparently he got some vacation time, which does explain why his articles covering the Chiefs have been a little bit better, or more respectable, lately.
